My Story

I am Anusooya, “Anu”. I am originally from the island of Mauritius and currently live with my husband and two children in Gqeberha, South Africa.

I am a holistic womb wellness practitioner. I help women to support & nurture their wombs holistically.

I guide young girls and women through the big changes of womanhood – menarche (first periods), motherhood &  perimenopause.

I am a pharmacist by education, holding a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Pharmacy and a certificate for Oxford’s Women Leadership Programme.

In 2016, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, an auto-immune condition. Despite my pharmaceutical background, I decided to look at my health holistically when medications alone were not helping me. This diagnosis led me on a self-healing and self-mastery journey. I discovered that living in sync with my menstrual cycle is my superpower and that my body is my ally and constantly giving me feedback.

In 2019, I decided to go off the pill as part of my self-healing journey. Post-pill, I struggled with very long menstrual cycles and was then introduced to womb steaming to regulate my menstrual cycles. I was amazed by this beautiful self-care practice. In 2022, I completed the Peristeam Facilitator certification from Steamy Chick.

I am a licensed Celebration Day for Girls ™️  Facilitator and I’m delighted to run these beautiful workshops for girls aged 10-12 years old and their moms for a positive periods preparation.

I am passionate about empowering women around their womb, especially when it comes to the feminine energy and supporting spiritual healing.  I am also very big on personal and professional development.

I am a co-writer of the book “The Goddess Portal – Divine Feminine Wisdom Codes for Modern Maidens, Mothers, Queens, and Crones.”

My offerings include womb steaming, cyclical living guidance, and period education as holistic and wellness-based practices.

These are not medical or pharmaceutical services and do not replace medical consultation or care.
